FIVE PURCHASES THE FIRST ACJ TWOTWENTY FROM COMLUX

We are proud to announce that the FIVE, the Dubai-based Group with verticals in Real Estate, Hospitality, Investments, and Philanthropy has successfully purchased the first Airbus ACJ TwoTwenty from the Comlux Group in Switzerland. Learn more.

FIVE has reimagined the very best in sky-high travel. As with the FIVE properties on the ground, the ACJ TwoTwenty cabin invites guests to experience a fresh new in-flight entertainment experience in the air, allowing passengers to dine, entertain and invigorate in the most opulent and private environment.

FIVE also has selected Comlux Aviation to operate commercially their ACJ TwoTwenty in partnership through an exclusive charter agreement under Comlux AOC in Malta. The aircraft registered 9H-FIVE, to be pronounced “Nine-Hotel-FIVE” will enter into service as soon as early 2023.

THE XTRA LARGE BIZJET

MADE IN AMERICA

The ACJ TwoTwenty is the all-new business jet program launched by ACJ in exclusive partnership with Comlux. The jet platform is the Airbus A220-100 which is built in Mirabel in Canada, but also in Mobile, Alabama in the USA. The environment-friendly engines by Pratt & Whitney are developed in the USA. The VIP cabins of the ACJ TwoTwenty are completed by Comlux Completion in Indianapolis, USA. The interiors, designed by ACJ Head of Design Sylvain Mariat, feature a full range of quality crafted furnishing options and the latest standards in terms of connectivity and technology onboard. Besides the collaboration on the completion side, Comlux has also brought its knowledge and expertise to the program as a worldwide VIP operator of large business jets and bizliners.

Inspired by VIP customers’ needs and values, the ACJ TwoTwenty provides discerned passengers with outstanding personal space, modern luxury, and long haul performance, at the price range of a business jet. The aircraft combines harmoniously personal space and innovation at the heart of its cabin interior, to create the perfect synergy between comfort and functionality. 

A NOVEL APPROACH TO
CABIN DESIGN

This is another "first" for Airbus, history in the making, and the ACJ TwoTwenty is no stranger to standing out in the new "Xtra Large Bizjet" market. "The ACJ TwoTwenty is a complete "aircraft-cabin" offer to our VIP, corporate and private customers, a unique product with a catalogue offering 3 different ambiences, spanning 6 living spaces of a total of 73m² / 785ft².

The interior will be built by Comlux Completion in their own Arbus certified center in Indianapolis, Indiana.

During the development phase of the configurator, the project team was inspired by solutions found in the hotel and luxury car industries, taking digital technologies and the customization experience to another level. The result is an interactive configurator that offers superior ambiance opportunities and over 120 layout options. A panoramic 3D view lets the user project themself into a real-life situation, to test their cabin configuration choice. The details of the personalized configuration can then be downloaded to assist them with their choices.

INTERCONTINENTAL RANGE

The ACJ TwoTwenty, will fly up to 18 passengers and up to 5,650 nm/10,460 km (over 12 flight hours) and can directly connect city pairs like London to Los Angeles, Moscow to Jakarta, Tokyo to Dubai and Beijing to Melbourne.

While occupying the same parking space and being able to take off from the same airports as competing business jets, the ACJ TwoTwenty will offer three times more cabin space, while reducing the operating costs by a third and benefiting from the high-performance record of the A220-100 platform.

The ACJ TwoTwenty will provide a new value proposition to business aviation buyers. The aircraft combines intercontinental range, unmatched personal space, and state-of-the-art technology. The clean-sheet design uses advanced materials and fly-by-wire, offers outstanding connectivity, lower operating costs, and unrivaled reliability.

Beyond the ACJ x Comlux partnership, Comlux is also the launch customer of ACJ TwoTwenty with two aircraft orders, including the ACJ TwoTwenty future demonstrator recently acquired by FIVE and entering into service early 2023.
